What's worse, a trial lawyer or a politician who takes massive amounts of money from polluters then changes the laws on weekends and holidays when few people are reading the paper so as to allow more and more pollution? Some trial lawyers are excellent people and serve a very important role for people needind representation. Others are sleazy. I doubt Edwards was the sleazy kind.

John Edwards has fewer negatives than GW Bush. His father was a mill worker in small southern town. He & his lovely wife have 3 children. When asked in a debate re his profession, he said a system should be put in place to screen out sham lawsuits. There is at least one fresh apple in every barrel. Both Kerry & Bush have bushels of negatives to throw at each other. Edwards looks cleaner than either one of them. He needs endorsements from Dean & Clark to overcome Kerry.
