Patricia I agree with you. Any things fishy with the East coast blackout? It had to do with power and obsolete equipment etc. etc. Are the power industries big wigs at their game again?

Dean Prepares For Last Stand

February 05, 2004

With Michigan seemingly out of reach, Howard Dean "is pursuing a last-gasp strategy of winning the" Wisconsin primary, "but many Democrats, aides and supporters are privately predicting the end to one of the wildest, most unpredictable and most innovative presidential campaigns of recent times," the Washington Post reports.

Dean sent an email to supporters this morning: "A win [in Wisconsin] will carry us to the big states of March 2 -- and narrow the field to two candidates. Anything less will put us out of this race."

Jeff Greenfield comments on Dean's strategy.

Meanwhile, Roll Call notes that Dean's congressional backers insist "that they will not abandon his presidential candidacy even after he failed to win any of the first nine nominating contests."
