But one thing I think I know <g>, a caucus brings out people when they really believe in a cause.. Caucus comes from cause maybe. Never connected the words before.. But back to the subject. I just talked to my brother, again, who went to the Dean rally in Spokane, and so he then had followed up on where his local caucus was. It was about 30 miles away from his home and will try to make it if at all possible. And if he can't, he is trying to get his son to go. (BTW, the only reason he might not make it, he is dealing with a medical problem in his family) He is in a rural part of Washington, ranching and farming country so it is not like walking down the block to your local caucus. I only mention this, as an example of a person, my brother, who is not as political as I, who is energized enough by an issue, mainly the war, to drive 30 miles over snowy, icy roads to caucus for Dean. BTW, he voted for Bush, which now he admits is a big mistake.. He like me, hates the Bush war because of all the grief it causes here and in Iraq.. A very conscientious person. Maybe some people with a rural(independent) background, concern themselves more with issues outside their own well-being, when TIMES like this arise. Things like jobs, outsourcing, etc, are lower in priority because they are dependent upon themselves anyway. I don't know.. Hell, the overall economy is always the same for us, tough, he/we handle a lot of dollars but we can't STOP many, well maybe a few..<g>. And talking about the war, he told me a bunch of kids in the Washington State National Guard are NOW being gathered up from the ranches, farms and throughout the brush around there to be SENT to Iraq.. And they EVEN have to buy their own body armor.. That won't set well to say the least. SADLY, c
