Why leave out that Kerry won the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, three Purple Hearts and was generally a major war hreo? You think his wise and measured opposition to the lies of Vietnam years later was the only part of his resume during this period? You can't have it both ways.

Besides, most Americans know the war in Vietnam was all wrong by 1970 and had to end. Even Nixon grudgingly agreed, though he took his time ending it.

The right's smear campaign against Kerry may become the #1 issue going forward, to the detriment of Bush. Since you can tell by listening to Kerry and studying his REAL record that he's not at all what the right-wing is claiming, it discredits the right-wing and makes them look like desperate liars. Add to that the fact that Bush and Company have a big credibility problem now. So many lies, now just about WMD's either. I think the latest poll shows 56% of Americans agree Bush misled us about the war. That may get a lot worse for Bush before it gets better. Bush's denials he went AWOL are another obvious lie. He claims he can't prove it but he was there. Well then why isn't three one eye witness? Russert made him promise to release al records for 1972. There would be at least one credible eye witness if Bush indeed ever reported.
