Kerry did a noble thing by leading the vets against the war.
Have you eevr read the Pentagon papers? The vets against the war may have saved thousands of lives. Their message got across better than any other protests. In this country we need to be able to protest. Vietnam was a terrible quagmire by 1970. It was a hopeless mess and was ruiing our country. The smart and ethical thing was to end it. Once we did we realized we were better off without that war. Much better off. Give Kerry credit. And also give him some respect. I know McCain repects him deeply despite their previous differences about the war. Now they have healed an come together. The right-wing should too. Nobody in their right mind should be saying we should have stayed in Vietnam.
