Hi Jay: The situation reminds of a special kind of hell, where the "clients" (the hellees) are up to their mouths in s*t and whisper to each other "Dont make waves". Which is of no big help to them anyhow because the devil (the heller) zooms by on the jetski every ten minutes.

What I understand G7 said was a sotto voce "dont make waves" - iow "this is a non-event". I'd assume 1.28(*) some time this week and when/if € gets to 1.30 ... I have yet to see any signs of nervousness or readiness to blink at EZB. Whichever way one looks (your a-e is a good AS IS and a probable AS WILL BE for some time as well), the sum of all parts is tilted.

Regards

dj

(*) spot at 1.2739 - looks like a one-month pennant breaking out to the top.

Jay,

I am not sure of CGE (Currencies, Gold, Energy) market reaction, but I will buy all three should they tank

Is this not the other side of the force working against you? Leaving gold out of this, doesn't cheap oil and a cheap dollar work hard to get GW out of the gravel pit? Is not much of the price of oil political? After having given this some thought, I think it would be wise, and survivalistic for GW Shrub and some of his size 12 friends to step on the necks of OPEC in increase supply in a massive way.

Alternatively, the '54 buick is on flames headed over the cliff and $40 oil fattens the backs of Republic of Texas rednecks who once again may go tell the rest of America to go freeze in the dark.

However, cheaper oil increases demand for buddies Haliburton and friends and would be the larger gain.
