I am familiar with that study. It is a valuable study but it does not answer my question but rather adds to the fog. To answer my question, it would have to isolate the marriage variable--kids growing up with their own two married parents vs. kids growing up with their own two parents who present themselves as married but actually aren't. The study does not isolate the value of a civil marriage certificate.

Perhaps you or someone else would like to speculate on that particular variable since that's the one at issue here.
