Airbus is actually in the process of creating a plane(the A3XX) which carries almost 1000 passengers....the only constraint is really the physical facilities at the terminal for such a large number of people. I do not believe that increasing a wafer from 12" to 18" creates nearly the same number of problems. Apparently a close relative of Moore's Law is McDonald's Law- Supersize it:-) The members of the A3XX family will be four-engine, long-haul airliners seating between 530 and 656 passengers in three classes-or up to 966 in an all-economy class layout-and will have a range up to 14,200 km (7,650 nm). logistechsinc.com Brian
