You are conflating things again. The "thesis" was something published in a peer- reviewed journal, and the issue was whether it was too outdated in references to make the point attempted (and whether there should have been better attribution). It has nothing to do with the forgery. I am not even sure that the British allegation refers to the same incident as the Niger allegation, frankly.

I have no idea what you are talking about in the third paragraph. What "nerve"? "Imminence" means that they are prepared to launch some sort of attack at any moment, as when using a warhead on a missile. An imminent threat to "us" would suggest a long range capability. However, the claim was that they could easily bring to bear biological/chemical munitions in a battlefield context, not in a sneak attack.......
