Saddam is suicidal. His current situation and path to destruction, awaiting only his death, is conclusive evidence of that.

Saddam is highly erratic. The very fact that he drew down the wrath of the United States is proof of that. If you are right, and there were no WMDs, it is especially crazy. To say that he is not totally bereft of reason is not to vouch for his overall rationality.
