I know Kerry is not the strongest candidate on this issue of trade, but my thinking is that if we can get enough visibility cast on this issue it will become a "committee topic" and some learned individuals will make recommendations and Kerry or whoever is in the WH will just be a signature. For example my senator Dianne Feinstein seems to understand the damage this has done. She has used harsh rhetoric in congress and she is very pro business traditionally. Robert Reich, who I often didn't agree with when he was in the Clinton admin, is up here at Berkeley and he has spoken on trade and the issue of the "little guy paying the bills for corporate excess" here. Its all part of the same issue and I would be happy to see some congressional focus on the matter which will certainly happen if ANY dem wins the white house. Even republicans are not backing Bush anymore on this. And sadly I think Greenie has met his match with his theories this time.
