Ronald Reagan had won the Cold War Kevin, that has always been the dumbest thing from the right-wing nitwits. Reagan was a standard-issue hard-line cold warrior who almost bankrupted this country with his military spending. To think that this consummate B-actor had the intellectual capacity to plan the end of the cold war is simply ridiculous. Hell, by the time his term ended, Ronnie could barely find his way to the bathroom without Mommie's arm. Gorbachev ended the Cold War by doing.......nothing. I have always thought the world owed Gorbachev a debt of gratitude for that passive reaction. I hate to think what might have happened if one of his hard-line Bolshevik predecessors have been in charge rather than Gorbachev. Reagan was nothing more than the rest of us....a witness to history.
