Just Observing--I heard on one of the news shows (can't remember which one) that there's a planeload of US casualties every single day coming out of Iraq.

Perhaps if folks were to look up and see a large airplane flying overhead, and they then were to imagine that plane full of US casualties, and consider that it's a daily flight, they might get a better impression as to what's actually happening to our soldiers over there.

Your conclusion, if all the casualties were PERMITTED TO BE SHOWN..both dead and wounded and the hospitals full of men who will never be fully functioning again would the American people turn off to this war ? Perhaps, but sometimes our self interests i.e......we will make IRAQ democratic and we have destroyed a monster....and our own Nationalism precludes the acceptance of the consequences..The end justifies the means ? I think not.
