Now it looks to me like you dissed him mostly because he was from the wrong party. If that's true, then that's chickensh*t in my book. I don't always agree with a candidate's ideology but I can respect the person. That's really the name of the game......how competent are they, are they helping all the people they represent and are they working for the betterment of their state and country.

Ok, now I see where the comment came from, but you're wrong. I dislike Edwards for several reasons, none of which is he's a Democrat. For example, I hold Zel Miller in the highest regard. Give me a little credit.

One reason is saying one thing, and doing another. He ran as a centrist, and now votes like a Kennedy. The main reason though, is that he started campaigning for president immediately after he was elected to the Senate. The seat was barely warm in his senate office before he started making campaign stops in Iowa and New Hampshire. Sorry, but that _really_ pi$$ed me off. He's a NC senator, but he's more worried about how his image plays in Iowa and NH than doing anything for NC.

Edwards readily admits that he rarely voted before his senate run. Frankly, I would find it hard to support a person that didn't care enough to vote in elections before he himself ran.

He has hardly any experience, but he is good looking and well spoken. Those are the primary reasons he won in NC before, but I think it's telling that he would not be re-elected.
