The cut and run argument makes a nice straw man, though, doesn't it?

Apparently, given the amount of play it gets here on the Straw Man Thread.

Perhaps someone will speak up and give it some legitimacy as a position, though. You never know...

When a candidate spends all his time saying what a rotten idea it was to go into Iraq, and makes no commitment to staying now that we're there, it seems perfectly in-bounds to think that he might have 'cut and run' in mind. He himself does not close off the option.

Bye-the-bye, don't you think Rev. Al. has one or two serious character issues in his past, like a willingness to use lies and slander if they help him demagogue a cause? Remember Tawana Brawley?
