<<If we are the best and the brightest>> How comes Americans don't display that in the BBR?

<<<The Jerry Springer Americans think [being generous] like the snuffling old pom that they are better than smart, nice, civilized, educated Indians who bid a lower rate than the wealthy Yanks. Jerry's mob thinks they OWN those jobs and will vote out anyone who doesn't give them their entitlement. Electorates are very scary. Mobs are irresistible. A herd of sheople is as intelligent as a flock of sheep.>>>

Maurice,

I am not up on Jerry Springer Weltanshauung, but what it seems like to me is that most of these people go out and run ahead of the lynch mob and pretend to be their leaders. They then sell books, airtime on TV and syndicated radio, tee shirts, mugs, and what have you - making quite a bit of money (as in Limbaugh) along the way.

The fact they share some of the same values makes it a little easier. They don't necessarily have to believe in everything (as in belief in God, the flag, marriage, heterosexuality, etc) they shout about or against. They articulate for the inarticulate. The inarticulate may not even know that this is what they want articulated. Thus, this viscious cycle.

At the end of the day, however, this nonsense gets exposed. Losers are never going to win. By definition, they are losers. Along the way however, they can cause a lot of grief.

Mary

"Why don't you go back where you came from?" is truly a popular American expression. It was used quite frequently starting with the first few waves of immigrants from Vietnam. Back then, many restaurant and coffee shop establishments in the south (i.e. Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, etc) banned all Asians or anyone who look like Vietnamese. They could not tell the difference between Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc, neither from the faces, language accents, nor appearance. And they are so smart, huh?!
