Kenneth, the more distressing aspect of the FACT that the children of the rich and powerful do NOT SERVE, is that it insulates their parents from the COSTS of war. If the Bush daughters were at the front, had been wounded and were exposed to death, I think we'd have had a different approach to the war "to stop the madman from his wmds ambitions." I don't think we'd be hearing "Bring em on."

In my dream world, Cheney took a hit and lost his legs (they're still hoping to save one of his balls), Rice got it in the gut and died screaming where they couldn't reach her, Wolfowitz had a nervous breakdown-they called it battle fatigue, Pearl deserted, and Bush is looking at having to take over the point position because all the other point men got killed. It's still up to him and he's thinking about whether the "sacrifice" is justified. What do you think he'll do??????

When you look at it that way, it seems more real. When you realize that they DON'T HAVE TO LOOK AT IT THAT WAY, then it's just numbers and little people that don't mean much.

The wimpy bastards.

Why do you dodge my question about the superiority of SF and Seattle? Does not the blatant housing discrimination bother you? Or as I supposed, is the comfort of being surrounded by your own more important than the plight of the less fortunate?

Good quote by Powell btw. Why do you suppose the democratic leadership lied about being AWOL instead of furthering the argument by Powell? Why do they use dishonest tactics iyo?
