Because this president refers to himself as a "war president," because he's made decisions that have sent men and women to their deaths based on questionable information and poor odds of success, and because part of that decision making process should, in my view, carefully weigh the price paid by those that kill and die to carry out his orders.

History is replete with examples of men who sent others to war while they played polo, or golf, or shot pet quail. Some men seem unable to effectively compute the overall costs and seem only able to weigh the costs to themselves.

My bottom line, if someone as seemingly lacking in empathy and curiosity and respect for average Americans as Bush chooses to go to war, I'd like to see him taking a few hits himself before I could be sure he REALLY thought the cause was worth dying for.

Clinton was a peacenik who ruled during a time of great prosperity and peace.

Bush has portrayed himself as the C in C war President so his military service and what he was doing during the conflict of his times is very relevant.

If the dumb-ass republicans don't understand this they are gonna go down this Nov.
