I think what you refer to as "attitude" is just the way Bush is. It turns off a lot of people. Beady eyes, smirk, Texas accent. He has got elected in spite of it.

Attitude is subjective. Clinton made me retch - the fakeness was palpable. Bush doesn't bother me in the least, other than his obvious lack of public speaking gifts. I didn't find much controversial about "bring it on" and "dead or alive". Rumsfeld really gets some people's undies in a bunch. Just plain speaking to me. Seems to make the metrosexuals run for their closets though. Eh.
