LOL!!!!!

If God is such a nice guy who has our best interests at heart, why did the Holocaust happen at all?

New computer! I was down but not not out.

Re.
"Yes, they ARE idiots. They are not "well educated"--if they are idiots--are they? Being credentialled does not equate with being informed."

We are talking past one another using different definitions of "Idiot". Ignorance is not idiocy.

Idiot can mean "A foolish or stupid person", or it can can describe "A person of profound mental retardation having a mental age below three years and generally being unable to learn connected speech or guard against common dangers."

I said they were not idiots (incapable of informed thinking), but rather that they were willfuly ignoring the facts of history. If you are saying that Holocaust deniers are fools then I agree and my original analogy between those who hold that Jesus is a myth and Holocaust deniers stands.

Only a fool/idiot would deny the basic historical facts about Jesus. It's worth quoting Craig again at this point.

"Even the most critical historian can confidently assert that a Jew named Jesus worked as a teacher and wonder-worker in Palestine during the reign of Tiberius, was executed by crucifixion under the prefect Pontius Pilate and continued to have followers after his death." (Craig)

I will grant that the resurrection does not meet the same level of certainty as the above statement but to dismiss the Gospel accounts as myth is the intellectual equivalent of denying the Holocaust.
