Copper, aluminum and concrete needs associations to promote their use since the economic activities that used them, are substituting for other materials. All inventiveness. All human brain creating. There are some real brains on this thread. Add my little 2 cents: I thought that you could shrink silicon chips only so much and the rest you would have to do through software. Packet switching and DSL are only mathematical algorithms that improve throughput many more times than you can through hardware.
