Jason Leopold broke the story (later taken up by the LA Times, Nightline and the Sunday Herald without credit) for CounterPunch on the Project for a New American Century's push for war with Iraq. Did anyone catch richard perle tonight on Paula Zahn casting blame for the Iraq war on intelligence failures. He called for the firing of Tenet... can you imagine this scum bag, probably the single most influential person responsible for this war fiasco calling on anyone else to be fired? I love this...this sort of thing will bring skeletons out of the closet. What was it that DR was fond of saying? The dems are imploding? AL, Well, I'm sure you've noticed whose MIA. Its the tax returns, stupid! <g> Its surprising to see how often the members of this WH contradict each other. Last week, the WH Econ. Advisers said the country will produce 2.6 million jobs this year. Meanwhile, the Sec. of Treasury and Commerse said while touring the PNW that they could not get behind that number; that its not likely the country will produce that many jobs. Isn't there any central command that coordinates these issues and keeps people in sync? ted
