So which would you rather own gold or oil? Personally I can live without gold but tough to get around without oil. I vote oil then.

Big problem facing Bush is rising prices at the pump. Once they cross $2 it becomes front page headlines in the local rag. Hovering just below that right now. Therefore I will propose Bush will be forced to release some spr oil soon, probably before Kerry steals his thunder and suggests it.

Those PPI numbers have me baffled I assume they are being tweaked harder then a meth junkie on his third all nighter.

FWIW my opinion is rates go lower before heading higher. It seems some here agree with this view which is rare. Even Gross has himself hedged out looking for higher rates and when everyone agrees it's often time to leave the debate.

PS..If oil is released from the spr we should all band together and take a run at some, the carry trade the last go around with Clinton was a thing of beauty.
