I agree, the rate of change is disconcerting. My quote in my profile refers to the problem as I see it. Some extrapolations of this "marriage" brouhaha are ridiculous but the fallout that will happen will surprise you and I, I'm sure. We already have people who want to change pet ownership to pet guardianship. Maybe it's harmless, maybe as one poster here stated "it's butting in". Maybe the gender police will make you refer to you children as offspring and not son or daughter. Sounds ridiculous but truth is always stranger than fiction. re: slavery...they would have served their case better if they'd outlawed slavery in the north first, don't you think? Slavery was the Achilles Heel of this nation, no doubt. They couldn't face up to it in the beginning and paid a huge price for it later.
