OT!!! For a lawyer, this is like shooting a hole-in-one with everyone watching from the stands to win by one, on the 19th in sudden death.

Pasternak and Stewart were on vacation in Mexico during the week of those stock sales, and in her testimony Thursday, Pasternak quoted Stewart extensively. The key quote, which prosecutors used to show that Stewart had insider information about the stock sales, was this one: "Isn't it nice that brokers tell us these things?"

On Friday, Pasternak said she could not remember the context of that statement or when the conversation occurred in which Stewart said it. Pasternak said Friday that it was not during the same discussion in which she and Stewart talked about the stock sales by Sam Waksal, ImClone's CEO.

Under cross-examination Friday by Robert Morvillo, Stewart's lead defense attorney, Pasternak even said Stewart may not have said it at all. "I don't know if Martha said that or (it was) me who thought that."
