Los Angeles news this afternoon followed a police call to a domestic dispute where one of the arguing couple shot one of the police officers. He died at Cedar-Sinai Hospital. As Grace recently pointed out, American medical care excels at treating gunshot wounds. I don't know why that is anything to be proud of. In Australia the only people who have hand guns are the Military, the Police, and a few criminal gangs who have gone to great lengths to smuggle guns into the country. Virtually all of the people in Australia who are shot are criminals. I don't think you could make the same claim in America.
