He is still raising money hand over fist. He has the support of wealthy voters as well as the corporations he has helped by removing environmental controls etc.

This campaign will be a fight to the finish and we can all only hope Nader doesn't interfere again.

Republican, conservative, whatever Bush-supporters don't like the war in Iraq and much of what Bush does. But they hate the Democrats. The rightwing propaganda machine has worked perfectly to convince Bushies that as horrible as he is, the dems are responsible for terrible schools, too many taxes, the high price of gas (due to taxes on gas). Those people are convinced that the welfare system, unemployment, - virtually anything implemented as a failsafe for folks - is draining the country of resources. They aren't looking at the corporate welfare or welfare for the rich as a problem. They discount the billions pouring into Iraq, Bush lies, Cheney's ties to Halliburton. It's not that they are happy with Bush; they simply revile any democrat because years of lies by Rush, Dr. Laura and others of that ilk have trickled down and duped those 48%.

48% is amazing and appalling. That's still a powerful support for lies and deceit. It's either so many people remain so aloof and clueless and mass propaganda is still alive and well, or American society ethics is being transformed and sinking to the lies and deceit morass.

What a reminder of typical zionists and judeofascists politics and policies for the gentiles. This fall, we'll get plenty of Israeli style politics where campaign ads will be full of lies and deceitful mudslings, by the Republican supporters.
