A fire hydrant that prevented him and his wife from parking their SUV in front of their tony digs was removed by the city of Boston at his behest. washingtonpost.com Elizabeth Pageotte pushed through a swarm of news media so she could introduce her young children to the man she planned to vote for. John, you are misreading my position. I didn't say I was against solar power. I just said putting them on your roof was a bad idea, because of the routine maintenance they required. Solar though has a much bigger problem, than cleaning, and that is hazardous waste. All solar systems use hazardous chemicals to build them, and also the batteries needed to store the energy, can be massive, expensive, need to be replaced regularily, and can't be put in a dump. You want to decry the nuclear waste, while solar has 1000 times the hazardous waste. That said, there are situations, where solar's problems are outweighed by solar's benefits, such as remote areas. Solar will fill a niche, not go mainstream.
