mel, i believe, does not accept the Pope John 23 changes amd belongs to a group in the catholic church that wants to reverse that.

Mel provided the seed money to set up a "Roman Rites" Catholic Church in LA. A lot of traditionalists love the old rites and think the Church made a mistake when they got away from them and went to "Jesus and Guitars."

I expect to hear a lot about that in the coming weeks. The Media is really going to go after him. Reviews will be savage. I understand British reviews are saying "most violent film ever shown. Worse than 'Clockwork Orange' and 'Reservoir Dogs'"
