Raymond, Raymond, Raymond,

Yes, The Soviet Union disintegrated but in fact the world became more dangerous after that event...did it not.
Therefore, as we have all learned only too well, a strong U.S. military is even more important than before.

IMO, our military puts out so many fires all over the globe, we should charge the UN & any other entity that benefits from U.S. military intervention.

Not to mention the modernization and infusion of technologies into the armed forces arsenals that rendered the old style so bloated with inefficiencies and worthlessness and therefore deleted. It's rather comical and amazing to see how most people have no clue whatsoever with what actually took place.

>>Re: Clinton downsized & gutted the military to such a dangerous level that it was necessary after 9/11 to restore it in order to wage the War on Terror.

This is one of the biggest whoppers repeated ad nauseum.

Kosovo. Afghanistan. Iraq -- did we suffer from a gutted military there ? If you listen to those nuts, it would have taken a decade to recover from Clinton's "gutting". LOL.

Bush let 9/11 happen by ignoring the Clinton staff's warning. And one of our best spy planes was grabbed by the Chinese under bush - remember that ? The buck stops with shrub, but he got a free ride.
