>>>Is that all you want in a car?<<

I have to admit that my idea of a car is something that gets me from one place to another economically, safely, and comfortably.

I am sure that my character would be greatly improved by driving a BMW, however, but I have never been able to decide between buying a BMW and converting to Judaism.

Best I can tell, the main benefit of driving a BMW is the edification one receives from the noise the doors make when they close. People who talk about that noise are known to be superior people.

whoever the japanese use for *design* needs a wake up call.

They can always hire Chris Bangle. Most BMW owners wish he'd find employment elsewhere. Maybe Toyota can make him an offer.

Japaneese cars aren't very well suited IMO for people that are either tall or large around the belly. I used to have a Sebring (before it burst into flames after an accident and then the transmission fell apart as well as a host of other $1000-1500 repairs kept happening). The sebring had some great legroom.

Now I have a Hyundai Sonata, it's like driving with feet shoved in a milk crate.

IMO companies are in the business of making their shareholders happy. Toyota and Honda managed to increase shareholder's value while GM and Ford failed.
