>>Edwards is the Bush administration's worst nightmare.<<

Amen to that. Now we just need to convince the lemmings who are being led off the precipice to defeat.
Maybe Thurs debate will demonstrate Kerry's droning, borrrring communication style as opposed to Edwards energetic, more relevant message. Edwards campaign strategist said yesterday that her candidate's message is more about the future while Kerry & Bush are rehashing the past. That's so true.

Hopefully they will open their eyes and recognize Bush will be a formidable candidate,

I also think that no candidate for office should ever underestimate his opponent.

But the picture looks ominous for Bush, and it is evident from his recent actions (calling for a constitutional ban on gay marriage for example) that he is on the defensive.

The polls don't have Bush at any meaningful advantage and the democratic primary turnout is generating records. Not a good sign. Even on Bush's wedge issue, the gay marriage constitutional amendment, polls show only a minority supports amending the constitution for these social issues. Besides gay marriage what else does Bush have up his sleeve?
