Question re: "valuations" and "presentations": Hi B'maven and all. New to this thread, and to the Biotech News thread, because have only seriously been in biotechs since Jan. '03; but, am an SI ancient Oldie ... primarily in techs. Completely agree with what you wrote when starting this thread -- very difficult to value most of these Co's. There are many paradoxical/reverse trends in biotechs, compared to other equity sectors. We're still categorizing some of them to develop pattern-based strategies. Now that we've found these threads, and are pretty heavily invested in some biotechs, will read them, and participate if/when appropriate. Our question: Many of the biotechs periodically present at various conferences. Just posted news about one of them {BIPH} on the Biotech News thread. That one is a good example [[ They're presenting today and tomorrow at Medtech and Nanotech conferences in CA. ]]; but, as you've all seen, there are many. Do you weigh the sponsors, locations, sizes, timing, other presenters, etc. of the conferences to determine if they're significant ...... or , somewhat conversely, do you just consider them " dog and pony shows" and not factor them at all?
