The only way to catch the "tank" is to commit way before it comes and that strategy has been hazardous for the last 12 months... Maybe, just maybe those 6 month puts will work this time around, but I watched many fail with last years "septembers contracts" when they were buying'em over the summer... Many are looking for the "new high" this spring or fall, but with that said it could be in the works right now... ie;, It took months before we saw the March bottom in the rear view mirror (and some still don't believe...LOL...), and it should take months after the peak to know it was actually "the top"...
