Right, a "worker" normally is considered employed by a seperate entity and the company picks up half. That part makes her statement false.

The government ends up collecting the same amount, it just depends whether or not one has additional entities or not as to how the deductions are made. It is one heck of a benefit most do not think of when employed. Unless of course that all this money is thrown away because our government spent it instead of protected it. The basic lack of investment of these funds has hurt us tremendously over the decades. Washington has done a terrible job and this is not an issue where we should allow the two parties to play each other off, instead we should point our fingers at both of them, but that will not happen.
