The biggest biggest biggest issue I have with Democrats and their demagogic tactics is that they totally ignore where the basic wealth of the nation comes from. Each one of them thinks raising taxes will raise revenue. Do you think raising taxes in a recession to balance a budget is a good idea? Do think more or less jobs would be created with higher taxes - especially capital gains taxes?

This is a fundamental issue. It is a great pitch to make to an essentially gullible electorate. It is a terrible pitch to make for the long term ecomic health of the nation.

Much has been made about Allen Greenspans comments this week - of course little was made on the point he made that balance should be achieved by reduced spending - not increased taxes.

The US is different country than Canada or Europe. We need a rapidly growing economy - especially if you have the welcome door open to one and all on the sourthern border.

So - you guy's all big fans of Herbert Hoover?
