I'm wondering if you read the post to which your post was linked. Is there anything here with which you disagree? Do you think the film was a virtual documentary?

"...IMO, it wouldn't be terribly surprising if some misinformed Jews believed the film was an accurate description of historical events. People believe all sorts of things, and lots of them believe this movie is a virtual documentary....

BTW, Gibson lied: that scene of the Jews chanting, "Let his blood be on us and on our children forever" that Gibson said had been removed wasn't, according to Hitchens. Only the English subtitles were removed. The scene, and the Aramaic, remain, awaiting subtitle choices in other languages...

"My dad taught me my faith and I believe what he taught me. The man never lied to me in his life." -- Mel Gibson, Reader's Digest interview.
