If I can buy a generic drug, my insurance company gives me a good price.
Unfortunately, there isn't a generic equivalent for many drugs. My husband
had to renew a 90-day prescription for a fairly common drug recently, and
the price was $346.00. After he meets his deductible he won't have to pay that
much, but I thought the price was ridiculous.

Bush has appointed someone to look into the possibility of buying drugs in
Canada. I don't think he will follow through by buying, but at least one
state is buying its drugs for state employees from Canada.

I lived in Canada for a number of years, and for the monthly fee
for provincial health insurance was reasonable. Unless Canada has
changed its policy, each providence has its own insurance plan so
the price for health insurance and perhaps drugs may vary.
