N may be right. Redfish may be right. But i think intelligent people of all faiths need not close their minds. That is the greatest danger to humans, particularly religious ones. I am beginning to remember now why i walked away for religion in the first place. And just so christians know, jews do this stuff to. When you run out of intellectual arguemnts its just to easy to say its in the bible. MIke

They are internally inconsistent on major and minor matters of factual assertion.

This is something that's always interested me. If the New Testament is a later fabrication, why didn't the authors get their stories straight? Instead they chose to transcribe as best they could from earlier texts, presumably with the knowledge that the texts were at variance with one another, sometimes even contradictory.

Don't you think if they were trying to fabricate a religion they would have gotten their ducks in a row?

Pilate's wife Claudia is considered a saint in the Greek Orthodox Church, and both Pilate and his wife are saints in the Abyssinian and Coptic Churches. This is based on a letter attributed to Claudia dating from the first century. This is based on the belief that she and/or he converted to Christianity and died as martyrs.

There are a number of saints who started out mistreating Christians but converted. The most significant is Paul of Tarsus.
