E,
I will defend CB here. She may say that this movie showed the pain and suffering jesus endured to pay for our sins and a Gibson sequel can deal with the ressurection. Werent there three Lethal Weapons? And of course Gibson demonized the brits in both Brave Heart and that patriot movie he made after that. So i await part two. mike

The resurrection is briefly shown, but there are several instances of transformation, even conversion, beginning with the guard in the Garden of Gesthemane whose ear is cut off by Peter and reattached by Christ. His contact with Christ is shown as causing him to have an abrupt transformation of attitude, which may lead to conversion. The same thing is shown to happen to several of the Roman guards and to Simon of Cyrene, who is forced to help Christ carry the cross.

It also appears that Pilate and his wife are converted, or at least begin the process of conversion, and even Herod's attitude is transformed from sniggering to respect.

Transformation from a person who behaves in an unworthy manner to a person who treats others with dignity and respect here on earth is, after all, the central message of Christ - do unto others as you would have them do unto you, love your enemies.
