coug,
Bush plans to bring troops home by June. They'll use it to gain votes for Nov. I doubt they will delay those troop withdrawal plans any longer than Oct because Reserve families who usually vote Repub would stay home on election day.

I agree with the injustice of Reserves fulfilling job that should be done by the standing Army. Did Pres Clinton's severe cuts in size of military cause the current situation with the Reserves??

Kerry was right about the war (listen carefully). This is what he said when he voted to trust Bush and give him war powers:
1) Saddam must be disarmed
2) A very real threat of force must be used
3) Inspections must be allowed to run their course
4) Work through and with the UN
5) Build the widest coalition
6) Plan the post-war peace first
7) Invade only as a last resort because we HAVE to, not just because we want to.

All of the above was 100% right, and all of the above Bush promised to do to get the congress behind him. All of the above Bush failed to do.
