Good eye for BLP info, Tucker!

There is so much info in BLP these days. They should offer a BLP sciences & research degree courses in MBA progrmas. As far as I know, they still do not.

More good news: Chip sales rebound

By Jon Ann Steinmetz

Mercury News

Chip sales were way up in January -- 26.6 percent higher than a year ago -- propelled by growth in China, the Semiconductor Industry Association said.

The group expects sales this year to grow 19 percent from last year

The San Jose-based industry trade association said global chip sales for January advanced to $15.5 billion from $12.28 billion a year earlier, led by a 34 percent increase in the Asia-Pacific region to $6.07 billion.

Further evidence of that rebound: Applied Materials, the world's biggest maker of computer-chip production equipment, may add about 500 manufacturing jobs this year to help fill increasing orders from chipmakers.
