If Gore had carried his home state, Tennessee, he would be president today.

What's absurd is the notion that the election was fraudulent and that there are people like you around who still obssess over it.

Pardon moi, but that was an absurd comment. For starters, your pal Al Bore started the trips to the courthouse. Secondly, the various election boards in FL had varying and inconsistent standards on on what counted as a "vote" when hand counted. The idea that some politically motivated counter should be allowed to determine "the intent of the voter" is absurd of the face of it. And there certainly were numerous examples of the counters effectively cheating caught on camera during the counting process.

The USSC finally decided that, because of the lack of clear, uniform standards in FL, the machine count should stand because the machine had no political bias either way. Sounds good to me. Had such a decision made Gore President it would sound just wonderful to you.
