But the facts just don't support your thesis. The economy went into recession officially in November 2000, with an onslaught of job losses in January 2001. Clinton's economic team was forecasting good numbers those months and they got horrendous ones. Before Bush's team took over.

You can't admit that the economy is a rolling trend, impacted only by big policy, not tweaks.
