I actually don't know anything about Elizabeth Drew, I just rounding up the articles I thought looked interesting that were currently up at NYRB. Most NYRB essays are a little windy, of course. And Drew probably reflects the general problem with the "liberal press" of bending over backward to be evenhanded in the face of their "fairandbalanced" counterparts on the right who never leave their axes out of view. I thought Drew's neocon article, nybooks.com , was relatively interesting anyway.
