Do not attempt to denigrate the Silver Star - the highest military honor next to the Medal of Honor.

The attempt to brand Kerry as a coward who scammed his way home is lame, dishonest, inaccurate and harmless to Kerry. This is a man who was well-known for charging INTO enemy gunfire with his SWift Boat and who braved enemy fire several tiems to save memebrs of his boat crew. Obviously, Kerry was brave beyond the call of duty. To suggest anything else is just a smear tactic. Unlike GW Bush who cannot account for where he was in 1972, Kerry was in combat while in Vietnam, and not hiding in some officer's club behind the lines. Kerry has never sought to exaggerate his battle exploits nor his three minor wounds, so the Republicans have no business trying to minimize them. It is also one more atack on our war heros which just makes the right-wing utter hypocrites. If they want to run against our war heros, bring it on.
