Did not work for me either.

When trying to connect get "An automatic connection cannot be established" message.

BTW I used both blocks to create the file.

Open a blank notepad and copy and paste all 9 lines below into it. Go to File/Save as/ and use the dropdown arrow to put the type as all files and name it url.ini

[SERVER_NAME]
1=free.grisoft.cz
2=ftp.grisoft.com
3=www.grisoft.com

[SERVER_URL]
1=http://free.grisoft.cz/softw/60/fe
2=ftp.grisoft.com/pub/softw/60/fe/
3=http://www.grisoft.com/softw/60/fe/
Actual URL=3

Shut down AVG and go to your Grisoft/AVG folder and rename the old url file (you may have to go up to tools/folder options/view tab and show hidden files and uncheck hide extentions) to urlold.ini

Now drag the new url.ini file into the same folder, restart AVG and update.
