Yes, the OT is considered the Word of God just like the New T. The ordinances of the law in the OT don't have to be followed anymore though. The "old covenant" of the law was replaced by the "new covenant" of Jesus Christ. In fact there are several instances in the New T that specifically void the OT ordinances such as the ordinances on eating certain foods and associating with foreigners. That is just a small part of the whole OT. There is Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, and all the major and minor prophets just to list a few. There is mush to study and amazingly it all points to Jesus even before Jesus arrived.

I said this in my last post but reading it again I saw that obviously the big TEN are still in force. Thou shalt not murder is not nullified. Adultery is still a sin. Incest would still be a sin even though it's not a big TEN. But the regulations about certain foods being off limits were specifically nullified. It could be argued that God by forbidding them from eating any part of a pig was just using good diet sense! But now if you want to eat pig, eat it! And have high blood pressure and be fat!! I would not think that a woman by not following the strict regulations concerning her menstrual cycle was committing a sin. Honor your father and mother is a big TEN but it certainly is ignored today. Difficult question.
