You foolishly want to look at historical events in a vacuum. There is enough blame on politicians on both sides. The bottom line is that Arab tyrants have kept Palestinians living in squalor, with children taught at their schools to hate Westerners, to kill the infidels, etc. Why? Because they are corrupt tyrants, who realize that, without focus on Israel, their people would turn against them. Even polls of the Palestinians show that Arafat is not considered a good leader. He is a symbol, to them, of defiance of Israel. That's how he stays in power and that's how he got to be a billionaire.
