This post is all over the place. Let me clarify my views. I think the US economy is more important than any other economy in the world. If we destroy ourselves in an attempt to raise the standard of living elsewhere, nobody wins. And as it stands, we have spent more money in a few years than I ever thought possible. We are funding the entire US military in deficit, and we have no exit strategy for the malaise.

If welfare for india is your real goal there is probably another way to satisfy that need vs. destroying our own economy to do it, don't you think? The USA has the highest infant mortality rate in the industrialized world (not to mention 40 million uninsured) btw.
